Is Money & Chaos free?
Yes. It's free to play, with no payments and no in-game purchases.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. You play in the browser, on a computer or a phone.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a quick one: a username and password, or sign in with Google. That way your games, rating and history are saved.
How many players can play?
2 to 4 players per game.
How long does a game take?
Much less than the board game: every turn is timed, and with no mortgages nobody drags on. A 4-player game usually doesn't last more than 30 minutes – and you'll probably want to play another one right after.
Is this Monopoly?
No. Money & Chaos is an independent Monopoly-style game with rules of its own: no mortgages, no living below zero, flights between airports, and a Parking square that costs a turn.
What happens when I run out of money?
If you drop below zero, you have time to sell buildings and properties (or close a deal) and get back above zero. If even selling everything won't cover the debt, you're out of the game.
Can I play only with friends?
Yes. Open a private room and send your friends the link. Private rooms don't show up in the lobby.
Is there a ranking?
Yes. In ranked rooms the result changes your rating, and there's a leaderboard. How many points you gain or lose depends on where you finished (say, second out of 4) and on the ratings of the players you played: you gain points for everyone who finished below you and lose points to everyone above you, and beating higher-rated players is worth more. A game counts once it has lasted at least 2 minutes and 10 turns.
Which languages?
Hebrew and English. Every player picks their own language, even in the same game.
How much money do I start with?
1,500. Passing Good Speed pays 200, and landing exactly on it pays 300.
Can I watch past games?
Yes. Every game is saved, and you can replay it move by move.
