The rules
Everything you need to know, from the first turn until only one player is left. Each big subject also has a page of its own.
The goal
Be the last player standing. Everyone else leaves the board when they run out of money or quit.
Setup
2–4 players. Everyone gets 1,500 and starts on Good Speed; turns go around in seat order.
Your turn
Roll two dice and move forward. A double gives you another roll, but 3 doubles in a row send you to jail.
Your turn runs on a clock: 15 seconds to roll, then more time after the roll to buy, build, trade and end your turn.
Buying
Land on a property with no owner – a city, an airport or a public company – and you can buy it at its price. If you don't, it stays with the bank; there are no auctions.
Rent
Land on another player's property and you pay them rent:
City: by the number of buildings. An owner of a whole country with no buildings collects double rent.
Airport: 35 / 70 / 150 / 250 by how many airports the owner has.
Public company: the dice total times 5 / 12 / 20, by how many companies the owner has.
Owner in jail? You pay nothing.
👑 Monopoly
The moment that changes the game: every city of one country is yours. That's a monopoly.
You can build houses and hotels only in a country that's entirely yours. Missing even one city? No building at all.
Even without houses, rent on all the country's cities is doubled, and with hotels it jumps into the thousands. Whoever completes a country first starts running the game.
Building and selling
You can build only in a country whose cities are all yours, on your turn: up to 4 houses, then a hotel costing 1.5× a house.
There's no need to build evenly: you can put a hotel on one city and leave the other with nothing. Build wherever and as much as you like – as long as you have the money.
A building sells back to the bank for half its cost. A property sells back for half its price, once its country has no buildings.
Money and going broke
No mortgages and no loans. Whoever drops below zero must sell to get back above it, and whoever can't cover it even by selling everything is out.
Jail
3 tries for a double every turn, a 50 fine, or a pardon card. You're released after 3 turns.
Airports
Own all 4 airports and you can fly from the one you landed on to the next.
Good Speed
200 for passing it, 300 for landing exactly on it.
Parking
Whoever lands on Parking loses their next turn.
Income Tax
Landing on Income Tax costs 200.
Command and Surprise
Landing on Command or Surprise draws a card. What's on it? You'll find out in the game.
Trading
You can offer any player a deal of properties, money and the pardon card. They can accept, reject or send a counter-offer.
Ranked games
In ranked rooms every game raises or lowers your rating.
By how much depends on where you finished and on the ratings of the players you faced: you gain points for everyone who finished below you, so second place gains more than third. Beating higher-rated players is worth more.
